Just like Sally Field, “you like us! You really, really like us!”
Upskill just returned from the Augmented World Expo (AWE) in Santa Clara, where we took home the big prize: Best in Show! As one of the show’s longest participating exhibitors, we were delighted to see that this year’s AWE showcased an AR world that is still full of new innovations to be discovered and refined. Plus, we were thrilled to receive the Auggie Award for Best in Show, in the Augmented Reality (AR) category.
“Auggie” winners are recognized as global leaders in XR and selected by popular vote during AWE. This award is a testament to the hard work our entire team dedicates to Skylight (our enterprise AR platform), the impact Upskill continues to make with our enterprise customers, and our position as industry visionaries and thought leaders.
Along with its sheer “cool” factor, it’s no surprise that Skylight’s ability to deliver real results earned it the Best-in-Show Auggie. With Skylight, our customers report a 32% average performance improvement across the board. In addition to the top prize, Skylight was also nominated for the Best Enterprise Solution Auggie, for the second straight year
Best-in-Show category winners are selected by popular vote during the show, with the winners announced on stage during Closing Remarks. Upskill’s Jay Kim, Chief Strategy Officer, and Christine Boyd, VP of Marketing, accepted the award on behalf of the entire Upskill team. We were very honored to be presented the award by the Women of XR Fund, a San Francisco-based VC firm focused on promoting equality in the immersive tech industry.
This recognition continues the momentum of a very busy awards season for us. We were honored as one of the top-five finalists for Hannover Messe’s prestigious Hermes Award; recently earned an Inc. Best Workplace award (ranked in the top X), and a Top Work Place in DC award for our exceptional work culture. It’s great to see Skylight flying high and our team leading the way. Now we know why Sally was so moved when she got her award…Back to #Upskillingit!
